Jimmy Compton
Hi. I need help creating a material for egg whites like the attached for use in 3ds Max and V-Ray. (Specifically the top two eggs.) I've been absolutely racking my brain over this for longer than I'd care to admit, and I just can't seem to even come close. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Edited June 18, 2020 by Jimmy Compton
Francisco Penaloza
Never done it, but some ideas could be, using a V-Ray blend material to separate the very glossy thin cover of the egg white, then playing with a subsurface scatter material or using the fog options on the shader. the thicker white blobs inside of the egg white, may have to be modeled separate and using a similar foggy shader. TomD_Arch
What if you created an opacity mask in photoshop and applied to a glass like material??
