Tommy L Posted November 17, 2020 Share Posted November 17, 2020 A few versions ago in max they improved the preview speed of high res bitmaps in the material editor. I think this has gone back to what it used to be, where the editor had to download/preview the fulkl res map of every slot and max hangs whilst it thinks about it. So a multi-mat materials like floorboards will hang for 5 minutes....Anyone else found this to be the case? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Curtis Walker Posted November 18, 2020 Share Posted November 18, 2020 I cant say I'm experiencing that issue at all. I opened a few scenes to double check and all loading fine. I will pay attention as I work on more scenes and see if its something that occurs after prolonged usage or a "busy" slate editor. I abused the slate editor yesterday though with loads of active mats and nodes and didn't experience any noticeable slow down. Is it reproducible every time?
