Fernando Lino
Hi Guys, I'd like to check if I am one of 3 people with this problem VIZ was working good before new Year. my first gift for the new year is I can open my VIZ..the first problem was a VRAY issue, after install the patch I still have the same problem, in another thread they are talking about mentalray...for all of you, Is VIZ working well? Thank you!
abicalho
Can you remove VRay entirely and see if VIZ works? I don't have VRay (nor any other plugin) and VIZ is working fine here. No problems. Alexander Discreet Quality Engineer

Fernando Lino
Happy new Year Elliot!!! I didn't see your post!!!
rivoli
check out the vray forums, there are a couple of threads about the "new year" bug. it seems vray won't work (and it will crash max or viz) if the date of your system is set on january. anyway, on your account page you should be able to download the patch to solve this problem. Elliot
Fernando, The issue with the VRay crash is very interesting. The amazing thing is that the developers were working during the vacation holidays trying to solve the problem. I have no problems with the demo version..... Very interesting how both of those guys at Chaotic kept answering the E Mails. I am impressed.....! You don't see that kind of response very often....! Please post your progress. Some of the guys are reporting that even after the patch the program is not opening. Elliot
