Brett
I am running Backburner on a Windows Server 2003 network and I am having LOTS of problems The Manager can "see" that the server is requesting the connection because it prints out an error message in the manager window - "cant make connection - error 0000274C" . I have disabled Windows Fire Wall on all computers and even added Backburner AND the port numbers to the exceptions list just in case - these had been added by default apparently but did no good. I even re-started all computers to boot. The problem also seems to exist on SP2 for XP I discovered in the process - my server was a server 2000 before I "Upgraded" and was running backburner with no problems. Any ideas? Devin Johnston
I have BB running on Windows XP SP2 and have no problems, but I did try running BB on a machine using Windows Server 2003 and I could never get it to work. It's been a while since I messed with it so I can't give you any details but I finally gave up and went back to XP Pro.
