Tommy L
Hi folks, I know, I should google it, I should research... I have not had my eye on tech for a while, last node I bought is 3990X based, it is very fast for rendering in Corona. Consdering building another but just thought I should see if its still the best option, Thanks in advance,
Mustafa Sarkisla
Hello, I am not an expert but according to PassMark scores, AMD Threadripper PRO 3995WX, EPYC 7713, 7J13, and 7763 seem to have more PassMark scores than 3990X. Hope it would help.

Tommy L
3990 is 2500 dollars more than when I bought it 2.5 years ago. Crazy.
Francisco Penaloza
Yeah man. It is ridiculous. Hardware prices are beyond the reach for anyone. And the sad part is there is not sign that it will get better.
Tommy L
As Im unable to find a 3990 or a 3995 I bought a 4975. It has 32 cores, 64 threads. It is about 70% as fast as a 3990. That is a real world comparison rendering in Corona. Boy, do I wish I'd got more 3990's when they were available.
