Aaron Paul Leabres
Hi everybody. Just want to ask if anybody here knows or had done the effect on the image attached. (see below) The sunlight is reflecting off of the 3rd-floor window down to the people, vegetation, and the ground. Is it a material setting thing or an environment/sun setting thing? Or is it even possible to mimic that effect? Any suggestions are welcome, guys. Thanks in advance.
James Vella
Looks like direct lights with minimal spread. If you want more control of placement exclude the floor / have it only affect the wall then make additional lights for the floor contact etc (so you can offset them left/right but keep the angle as it is). Heres a quick test example. You could also use light volumes: Edited June 29, 2023 by James Vella
Aaron Paul Leabres
Thank you for your reply. I managed to mimic the effect with the help of Caustics but rendering time is so slow. I'll try this so I can turn off the caustics.
