Crazy Homeless Guy
How many pounds of cheese is the average american? A. 10 pounds B. 20 pounds C. 30 pounds Well, in a literal sense..... "According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average American eats 30 pounds of cheese a year. That compares to only 11 pounds in 1970." http://www.cspinet.org/new/cheese.html In a character sense, I would say it is even greater...... . nisus
héhé... I read an article today that HOUSTON is America's Fatest city! Being the fatest one in 2001-2003, in 2004 Detroit has beaten the former champion... Houston has over 2,5 the average amount of fastfood-restaurants... rgds nisus

Sawyer
CHG - I can't believe you actually looked that up. I heard that on an NPR show I listen to on the weekends "Michael Feldmans What Do You Know". It was a trivia question and I thought it was the frigging funniest thing I had heard. Tim Nelson
So Sawyer, does that mean that CHG answered your riddle correctly? And if so, what significance does it have that you have been puzzling us with it for the past few weeks? I like cheese regardless of how many pounds of it I am! And the same holds true for vodka & box-wine!
Ernest Burden III
vodka & box-wine! Now there's a new one at the home bar.
Chad Warner
I'm glad someone cleared up the mystery. I was beginning to wonder about the cheese thing. And speaking of splendid cheese, I hear they are making a Wallace and Grommit Movie....should be great.

No the cheese question had no significance other than I was really stressed at the time getting 2 overlapping deadlines done and I really thought that was funny. Personally I think now is the time for Port. Just finished off my bottle this weekend. Need more. May be a couple extra pounds of Port this year and 1 extra pound of slim jims. I don't know about the Slim Jims (what's wrong with good old American beef Jerky?), but a good port...now you're talking! Which one do you go for? So far I don't have a preference (Graham vs. everything else). I bought a couple of bottle of vintage port last year as a 'tip' for my son'e soccer coaches, have been meaning to go back for a bottle of the same for myself (about $90/bottle). Sawyer
how about your voice on my home answering machine. Seems fair enough. However I can never hope to come close to the sexy man voice of Carl Castle. EB III. I quit smoking a few years back and I used the gum for a while & it ruined my jaw. So I love jerky but I can only eat processed animal hearts & lungs ie Slim Jims. I just finished a bottle of Clocktower which for the price was really yummy (my 3 year old chose it) I also like Heitze (spelling ?) but it's a bit more $. I can't remember the cost of the Clocktower I think it was under 20. I do recomend it just a touch tawney, not too sweet but really yummy.
IC
Animal hearts and lungs?!?-oh yeah it's ok as long as they're processed! And we get a hard time over haggis!
