voltaire_ira
Hi everyone, this is a new residential project that I'm currently working on. It's still in the preliminary stages so more changes might take effect. Its a bungalow in Leyte, Philippines. Modeled and rendered using max7 and mentalray. Comments and crits will be appreciated. Sirkus
sir ira, one of the leaves of the palm tree is passing through the eaves. also, i would like to ask if the space in the left side part is a garage. if yes, did you really intend it to have a grassy surface? also, am a little bit confused with the shadows. in the right side, the lights seems to casting towards the left. while in the left side near the trellis area, it seems to be projection to the right. p.s. is this the same project of niña in palompon or another project in leyte? good day!!! MJL Imaging
I have a couple questions out of curiosity and lack of know how on my part -what were your mental ray settings? -how many lights are in this scene, what kind, and where? -did you have to create a sky dome? for my exterior scenes I use the "fakiosity" lighting posted in one of these forums. Would Mental ray work better for me? The shadowing looks pretty good to me. Any answers would be much appreciated

Any answers would be much appreciated hi, i made use of one mrspotlight and a skylight with a hdri map. the g.i. settings are the ff: photons = 1,000,000 ra=1.0m volume = 1,000,000 ra = 1.0m avg gi photons = 1,000,000 fg = 300 all materials used were mental ray materials with a photon (base) shader in the photon slot in the mr conection rollout. sirkus, its a different project but also in Palompon. Shadows are good, I made use of only 1 spotlight with raytraced shadows, who can argue with the accuracy of raytracing. Its like that espp when the light source is slightly perpendicular to the facade.

IC
That's nice. Good atmosphere-it 'feels' like it's been pouring. Much better overall than the first (imho).
