Al_Zyma
I have been given a dwg from an architect that shows a roof as 3D polylines. I have to create a simplified 3D model of the building. i cant find anythimg in cad help files thats any use re: 3d polylines. What I'd realy like to do is convert them to roofslabs or mass elements or solids. Or even 3D faces, but would like to avoid having to trace over everything! If anyone has an angle on this it would be greatly recieved! If not I'll add to this thread when I solve it. Thanks in advance. Al.
lambros
I once got in trouble with a cad file comprising of poly lines, and apparently I had no clue about what they were! Three days later, I managed to explode them and traced the cad. I hope that you will do better!
Al_Zyma
Unless someone knows better it seems that 3D polylines are ancient cad and not much use! So I used them as a guide and drew roofslabs over.
