Allen
I need some fresh eyes on these. Still some modeling to do to finish the bleachers, but for the most part the model is done. Any help would be appreciated. Shot is taken late afternoon (early evening), June, North Texas.
Juan Altieri
i like them, so i think you can try to turn the color balance to more orange...just try
Ernest Burden III
I also think you need to redden the sun color. Can you add a gel to it to make the lower light cooler and the upper very warm? Also, the grass of the ballfield could be more different from the general grass, especially since the field is the subject. I suppose making the regular grass less green, maybe punch the contrast on the field a little. Otherwise--very nice!
mtb0506
Great images Allen. I especially like the mapping on the parking lot and road. can i ask how it was done? I recently did an animation with a big parking lot and didnt want to model the lines in the road in order to lower the poly count, so i made one huge map for the whole parking lot with the lines painted on. almost pulled out all my hair trying to get it to line up. Did you use the same hair-pulling process?
Ernest Burden III
And what about a view from the stands, or home plate?
Chad Warner
Great images as usual. I would try to liven it up a little with less blue/more yellowy orange. Right now it looks kind of dismal. Where did you get the trees? They look great!
pmanahan
They look really nice but they are a bit dismall as Chad Warner said. Maybe take the final image into photoshop and play with the contrast, they appear as if it is a smoggy day. pmanahan
Allen
Thanks for the replies. The lines in the parking lot and street are modeled. I've tried mapping but I end up never satisfied with it. The lines do not add that many polygons and are faster to apply. The traffic and oil marks are painted as a grayscale and used in the diffuse channel. Lighting is always the toughest part of this...I'll reduce the "blue" add more orange/red. Heck, I might even look outside today to see what the sky and surrounding colors look like. Trees are from Marlin Studios. I'll look at the grass again - it's like that now - does need a little more "oomph" I'm working on the bleachers now - adding more details. I'll test render and see what a shot from the bleachers looks like. They're not very detailed at all so I tried to stay a good distance from them. Thanks again. I'll post after changes. Need to adjust fog and light settings. Thanks.

Allen
Thanks, Mike Finished the stands last night adding seats and rails as well as more detail for the structural supports. Added a lot of geometry - hopefully the rendering will be decent by the time I get back to the office in the morning. BTW, love Hawaii - beautiful place.
