I think the modelling of your furniture is little bit robust for the close up shot such as this. I think the edges are too hard and the furniture looks extremely heavy. You should try and soften that. Nothing in life is stright except my my x-girlfriend. 2. Lighting is also of issue and it seems as though you used a scanline render which is known for producing "hard" lighting. The issue can be over come by faking it and there are some great tutorials on this site how to use it. I would strongly encourage you to read through those and if you have any queries just shout and i'll see what i can do for you. I do not particularly see anything wrong with your composition although i'd strongly advise to view other people's work and see the little details within interior perspectives that make it "bounce" and come alive.
