bigcahunak
It takes longer here.. but I finally got the Revit 7.0 by mail. From the dates on the CD and "Data1.cab" file size, I know its not the latest build (which is 1213 now). I want to make a new install on a new machine, and would preferably want to install the latest build available, but I dont want to go with the long web installation online process. Does anyone know if I can just copy the CD I got in the mail, and just replace "Data1.cab" file to the one packed in the latest downloadable build? It looks to me that this is the only changed file. If I Install the original CD - can I later just update to the latest build without any hassles? Thanks.
Arnel
What we did was just install the one shipped on the cd then later updated it with the latest build but during installation check the option "escape content download" if im not mistaken the word is kinda similar to that. Then it will install the latest build of the progam without downloading the content again it will just overwrite the program itself. Make sure to make a copy of your shortcut keys if you have created one because it will be overwritten also then just paste it back after installation. Hope this helps.
