voltaire_ira
Here's a wip of GOFA rendered using mental ray in max 7. Lighting was done using jeff patton's sky dome tutorial( thanks man!). still dark underneath the slabs. might add caustics once i figure it out (might change sun angle too). waiting for your C&C's... Sirkus
sir ira, is this the the building of tadao ando featured in vizdepot's visualization contest? also, how did you render the concrete finish in the last pic(the one with holes) was that edited in the material editor or were the holes already in the model? voltaire_ira
holes were created using in image as a bumpmap...a concrete material in the diffuse slot and a grayscale of another concrete panel with holes as bump.

Nasheet Siddiqui
mr 3.3 for max 7,I don't think vray has come out with anuthing for max 7, superb command over mr.... why a dome...which tutorial...I have to dig this forum..news here.... can you all paste the link as well when you quote something from this forum, good for freshers here... The glass looks too perfect ,there shall be break in the reflection at the glass joints,i guess and some wavevring, this looks like flat mirror quality glass with no refracions.... the painting jpg is not of very high res. cannot make out the figures in it, over all good defense for MR,I will stick to MR(I have no option its the only thing shipped with max 7)
