STRAT
Found this link in CGNetworks. One of cinema's strengths is it's numerous Noise filters it has. This site goes through each option giving a quick visual reference of each one. most usfull. (on the site, click on the list of menus on the lefthand side to flick through the numerous noises) http://www.cybergooch.com/pages/c4d/noise/c4d_noise.htm

Noise is a really useful thing in CG work. The real world is 'noisy' so adding it in various ways to our renderings helps with a sense of reality. And I don't mean just adding noise to the picture plane in post, or stochastic noise, I mean as a means of shading, modeling, etc.
