keyboard cowboy
hi, i'm using max and vray for all cg works in the architectural field. it's been a while i've been trying to find out how to render wireframe (like the image attached) and give my objects that sort of sketch look, or inorder to give a more flowing feeling when showing the isolines on a rendered object. anyone got any ideas? maybe it can't be done in max.... thanx! Tommy L
Just check the 'force wireframe' box in the scanline renderer panel. REnder normally as well then composite in photoshop. I reckon thats how your example was done.
mbr
Don't know about VRay, but I know Final Render you need their wire frame (which means you have to buy the mat set) - it renders wireframes as solids otherwise. I'd guess it's the same with VRay. Nice model, by the way, I think I recall seeing it on Archinect a while ago. Care to talk about it?

MrCAD
Here's a vray render I tried and post work in Drapefx. You can use a 32 bit bmp image with alpha in drapefx and simply apply the texture and it becomes tranparent + wire icon on. meher http://www.drapefx.com http://www.mr-cad.com
