Ernest Burden III
What the hell did I change? As of today my Cinema renders-to-screen no longer paint down the screen (or in their region box) but instead wait until done and then appear all as one. I've looked and looked at what setting controls this, can't find it. What do I change to return it to normal? Thanks in advance

Ernest Burden III
hmm. new one on me that When Frosty came up blank I posted the same Q on cgtalk. Someone said they had the same on a Quadro but a reboot fixed it. A reboot did fix it for me, as well. Generally, I leave the machines on, only reboot when something goes wrong, which is almost never. It didn't seem like an error, since the render was being completed THEN posted to the screen, and nothing else about the computer was behaving any differently. I had been looking at the HUD settings and thought i must have changed a setting. Apparently not. Well, if you're going to have a bug or malfunction, its nice when they are so polite. 4DM
Ernest, If it happens again, go to the"Channels" menu at the top of the Picture Viewer window while it's rendering, then unclick "Multi-Layer display", so that "Image" is ticked instead. (You'll know what I mean when you're there). I'm not sure what the Multi-Layer Display option is for, but it seems to turn off the image while rendering for some reason. You may have inadvertently switched it over by accident while checking your Alphas or Multipass layers? Cheers, D.
Ernest Burden III
I'm not sure what the Multi-Layer Display option is for I think you use it to see the various layers you setup in mulitpass rendering. I can test that later. Oh, but why would a reboot change it 'back' when closing and restarting Cinema NOT? Thanks!
