C4D kitchen

i'm trying a kitchen under C4D, but the light bounce is really hard to get properly. I'm rendering it in multiples passes: once with the soft shadows, one with the reflexions and refractons and another for the radiosity. still some more work to go. if some C4D user got any tip for me, i would be happy :)

edit: maybe i should use higher anti-aliasing for the floor

i think it looks good. good GI, great radiosity bleeding, nice lighting.

you need higher samples in the gi solution to smooth out some artifacts and smudginess, and most of all, composition. that camera angle/view is pretty awfull. play with a different camera view.

i used a quick radiosity settings, so d'ont worry about the artifacts, I changed lightning and composition. now i still have to change some reflection settings and if you have any idea, please do tell me :)

Durandal,

This new view is MUCH better and more interesting. One thing I miss from your first rendering is direct sunlight. Adding a window opening to and some sunlight shining through it would help the image. Also, the chair back on the left really takes over the foreground. Try moving the chair and maybe adding a couple of items to the table top. Overall, a nice looking rendering!

Duane,

I prefer the camera angle and the sun streaming in through the window in your first shot.

The other shots look like marketing for the table and chairs - not the kitchen.

Everything else in your model is top notch.

interesting post, because some one in a message above told me the other point of view wasn't good :D

i'll try also a render with the old camera

Duane:

Just an opinion...

I liked the first shot not so much for the framing, but the fact that the table and chairs didn't dominate the scene so much.

Don't disregard the camera location you have. Keyframe the camera at different positions and angles (one shot at frame 000, another at 015, another at 030) to evaluate different looks for the scene. Render the frames without GI or ray tracing as all you're evaluating is camera position and framing of the scene. This will give you a chance to look at several options next to each other.
