Tsukiyono
The book i am using -----Mastering Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2005 by Paul Aubin Ok i am working through a book right now, as i am teaching myself the Autocad Architectural desktop 2005. Well i have a book i bought which i was going to follow to help out. Problem is, i have just began, and i am already not able to find something. Too anyone that can help, the problem i am having is on page...7..on this page it asks me to put in some properties for the door object you add in. I cant seem to find the Position along wall option in the dialogue box. It tells me to change it to Offset/center but i cant seem to find the menu that will allow me to continue. I know this is a basic question, but i would be much appreciated if someone could help me out, as i am teaching myself this program i forsee alot of problems in the future, and i really would like to hope i could ask those questions here... no matter how simple they actually are. Thanks before hand.
Al_Zyma
Not sure if there is a dialog box for this in 2005, there was in 2004. On 2005 you use the options available in place editting. In other words click on the door then hover over the grips(triangles & squares) for options. The square that appears at the bottom of the door has options for re-positioning. Hope this helps. Tsukiyono
Hmmm, im not sure myself right now, as I cant get access to my file at the moment. I do now haev access to the scanner here at school, so i will go get a screen shot of the book, and the screen of my screen, and maybe those will be more clear then i was. Plus then you will be seeing it as i am, as i cant seem to figure it out. Thanks for the help.
Tsukiyono
Well i figured this would be more helpful then anything i could type out... The scan is the page where i am having the trouble.... and the screen shot my actual screen showing where the problem is... And in that since where my problem is.. is that the two menus dont match. So i was curious if someone could point me in the right way. Thanks.

I didnt realise that some of the options were lost once the door or object was inserted... will need to remember that for future reference. Thanks again
Al_Zyma
Think i have a better idea of what your after, double click the door, this'll open up properties, then click where it reads Anchor and said dialog box will appear!
