stair modeling

Just wondering if someone has a better way to model the glass railing on this stair. When I try to extrude along a path in Acad it pitches the glass towards the stair.. Here are 2 .jpg's and the file. and if there is an easier way in Max let me know also.. Still learning to model in it..

If you take the glass profile and the path into Max, you can use the loft tool which gives you much more control over situations like this. Alternatively, you can try the bevel profile tool but it doesn't give you as much control.

In either case, I would suggest adding a horizontal leg to your path at the bottom landing area. Ending an extrusion path like you have it can confuse many procedures.
