voltaire_ira
Hi everyone, This is the design for our house to be built in Pasig, Manila. Its just a small 2-storey residence in a small community. modeled and rendered using 3dsmax7 and mental ray. render time was aroung 34 mins at 1000x675 res. Please comment on the image based on textures, lighting, design, composition and overall impact. This one is a late-afternoon setting. what else can be done to improve this render texture fot the trellis still needs correction. there is a sky light, but will probably be removed on final render and actual construction. waiting for your comments, and will be appreciated. Tim Nelson
Thats going to be a nice one when all finished. Doesn't look like you have much more to do. My biggest thing is that the top part of the house is overexposed & the covered areas need a little more light. I know thats probably how a photo might look, but maybe you should cheat it a bit and pump up the darker areas a bit to balance it out. THen I would probably work on the sky a little to bring more contrast between it and the house.
Jason Matthews
Ver nice image. My crit would be on the grass meeting the front steps. Too jagged maybe. The contrast looks almost too high on the curb in front. And lastly the bike caught my eye as being too bright, not the same atmosphere as the house. The house has more of an orange sunset feel to it where as the bike has a bright day feel to it. Very nice image though. I am once again inspired. Good work. V_Type
The first thing I notice is a structural consideration : the wood pillars (correct word ?) have false texture orientation. Your texture sould be vertical and not horizontal. Maybe your motorcycle could be grey and the picture a little bit less over exposed.
voltaire_ira
i've updated the images based on the comments all of you guys have mentioned. I'll post the updated render, and maybe there will be a few changes. i'm thinking of replacing it with a small vespa bike...i've changed the mapping of the wood trellis... the skylight in the roof has been removed. thanks everyone for the comments. xgarcia
you still need to change the wood grain in the columns - horiz.to vert.
