Vince Paske
I'm loosing all my buckets from my slave machines (servers) after the first image is rendered using Vray (1.46.10) distributed rendering with Max 7. The first image rendering with 20 buckets (5 dual xeons) is a sight to behold, it's amazingly fast. But when it goes on to the next frame, it's only using my workstation (client) to render (down to 4 buckets with a dual xeon). I have a moving camera and moving objest so Irr map is set to Incremental add. Anyone else using Vray have this problem?
Tim Nelson
I could be wrong but if you have moving objects, don't you need a completely new irradience map for each frame? I thought incremental add was only for static animations. Do you get error messages after the first frame? If my slave (i only have 1) is not working, I will get a vray message that says something like 'warning, render slave 192.0.000 has failed'. But I have done animations before using DR and have never had the problem you are describing. You should post this over at the Vray forum.
