frank_1331
I am using VRAY free plug-in and running into major trouble here. I can figure out what is happening. What are the bleached out white spots on this rendering? I figured that they were some sort of specular setting, so those are all turned way down. My light is a directional free with VRAY shadows. I have reduced my GI settings which has seemed to help some. Originally this problem was much worse. I am at a loss here. I have used similar materials in another rndering with excellent results, but here they seem all messed up. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance
Crazy Homeless Guy
fairly common problem, usually solved by one of the following.... 1. make sure all mapped objects have UVW cordinates 2. apply crop to all maps even if they are not cropped 3. specular to high on standard materials 4. using cracked version of vray 5. raytrace materials sometimes give vray fits ..i think there may be one more known thing to cause these spots, but i can't remember what it is off hand. also, i would use a 1 on the first bounce, and probably a higher second bounce also. it doesn't look like you are getting a lot of global illumination in the scene.
