mzagorski
The office Im working in have been using a Tektronix Phaser 780 Graphics but are looking to replace it. Anyone got suggestions for a fast, reliable printer for output from AutoCAD and various other applications. Must be able to print color too! Fernando Lino
Hi. I Bought 2 weeks ago a new printer and It is great!! specially for CAD (HP Designjet 100) you can print 24"x36" in color. I paid $949.
mzagorski
That is similar to what we are looking for we already have a Designjet 800 for out 24 x 26. What we need is something that can sit on a deskspace, hold 50-100 sheets of paper at a time. It's main use is for print half size plots for markups and some occasional color printing. troyw
hey mike im looking for the same stuff right now. the wide format printers from hp dont look too bad (hp designjet a3+/b+ graphic printer series) the 10ps C7790A starting at $799 is what i more than likely be getting. mzagorski
Looks like we are probably going to go with one of these beasts fully loaded: http://www.office.xerox.com/perl-bin/product.pl?product=7300 [ September 09, 2003, 03:28 PM: Message edited by: mzagorski ]
kainoa
Good choice Mike. Stay clear of the color lasers from HP. Slow and dissapointing output. We were looking into purchasing a new Xerox phaser, but opted for Canon color laser copier. It's a color copier, scanner, printer and includes its own print processors. Somehow the admins figured itd be cheaper. Anyway, are you back in Honolulu? If so what are you up to?
