mwhite
I have just started working with Vray. Does anyone know why the background image is 'bleeding' through the walls? This is most noticable between the windows on the left and on the fireplace. At first I thought it was a reflection from the floor, but then realized the pattern on the wall matches the background clouds. Also, how the heck do you access/change the properties of the individual Vray lights? I get a small context dialog box which allows some changes to caustics and diffuse parameters when right clicking on the light. Finally, I do not have any help directories. There appears to be a Vray compiled HTM document in the help directory under 3dsmax5, but does not appear to be accessible. Thanks for any assistance. Woody79
vray does funny things with bg images, my best advice is to ditch it, keep it black or white, and then put the bg back in using photoshop.
tdarcy
Hi Michael, If you turn off the overide max button in the vray reflection/refraction environment dialogue box that should fix your background problem. You should be able to find the help files on the http://www.vrayrender.com web site but you can only veiw them if you log on with your v-ray password and access code number. mwhite
Thanks for the info - sorry about replying late. Just getting back into working with Vray and realized I forgot about this post. I did drop that background image and that obvisouly eliminated all of the variations bleeding through. I try changing the other setting and re-render with the background image. Tony
It looks like you have the background set to screen.
