IC
Nothing groundbreaking but it's quiet today so I'll post it anyway. Internal alterations to a small house. Currently rerendering to get rid of the ceiling hotspots.
Ernest Burden III
Quite nice. Is the soft, warm and fuzzy look a product of the rendering itself or post? The sink needs lighting! And the family needs to take up gardening.
Tim Nelson
Ian, I always like your work. The thing that usually stands out to me though, is that you have a lot of bright spots, but the corners are always so dark. From following some of your other posts, thats from dirt map or something like that right? Nice thing is, you probably have very fast render times. But the lighting extremes could be more balanced for a nicer effect. And, the table cloth is very very stiff at the edge of the table. Must have used a lot of starch! otacon
Nice and soft. Always good to see something different than the perfect looking vray renders. Im going to take a guess that you used the ambient occlusion plugin. What was the render time?
skogskalle
I agree with Tim that you have too much contrast in your lighting. too burnt out / too dark shadows. I dont know exactly how you get this look (what programs you use etc), but is there a way to soften up (decrease contrasts of) the dirtmap or GI or whatever it is you use? I think I would like the pic more if you did... but.. dont get me wrong. this is simply a matter of personal taste, and I know many others love this contrasty style... Fran
Nice! I noticed the tablecloth and the unnatural light on the ceiling too.
IC
Yeah this was done without GI using ambient occlusion. Warmed up in post. Every time I do an interior now, I quickly get a decent GI setup then get happy with it, then get bored and try something else. I like high contrast images. I love those photographs in interior magazines of beautiful furnishings in grimey, rustic rooms. The hotspots are the only things that bother me. Need to work on that. Here's a more traditional radiosity try out..........
vertexART
Hi IC, very nice work! IMHO, the first one is a lot better, except that you should really 'undense' the shadow effect, as everybody else noticed. Also the composition seems better, imho. You have some Radiosity light leeks on the 2nd one, above the kitchen wall. waiting for some updates
otacon
I like the first one too. It has more personality to it.
juanantoniotovar
I agree with the previous opinions, but I think that the second image appears as unfinished. I think that the second image with more work will be better than first.
