Ph0n33z
Hello all.... I am a Cinema 4d user. I have only been using it for a month or so, but I love it. I decided to get into arch viz, or at least try it out, the same time I started to use c4d. I have done research on all the cad apps (Vectorworks, Allplan, Archicad, Autocad,ADT, etc..) and I am learning towards those first three. (Mostly due to their compatibilty with C4D). However, the only thing holding me back concerning archicad is the supposed "profesisonals only" rap it seems to have. In all reviews I have seen, they say that archicad is NOT for novice users. However, it has a developing community, unlike vectorworks. So my question is whether or not you guys think that I should begin my cad learning using archicad. I want to learn an app and stick with it. Thanks guys! P.S. Price is no issue. =)
STRAT
nothing wrong with Archicad. just as hard as learning autocad or any other app. and it's up there with autocad as one of the big boys that proffessionals use in the industry. i'd certainly agree you learn a cad application. and archicad is a nice one to learn. the learning curve isn't easy, but then what is? you'll enjoy it when you know it. and 3d integration with c4d will be nice. lucho
Hello Ph0n33z: Well in my opinion i recommended to you ArchiCAD, because is a BIM program, you build the projects when you draw, this is the most important difference, is not difficult to learn, at the beginning i was a Autocad user, so i can say archiCAD is easier, but as everything the practice makes the master. piotrgreg
hey! I wonder... if u r just a beginner and u do not stick to architecture, draftwork etc... - so why don't u use max/viz for modelling? is quite logic, it is another render/animation program, is one among the best I am autocad modelling user, but I tried archicad either and I still wish of being capable in max modelling good luck Piotr
