I made an animation in AVI format but I want to erase some frames. Could someone tell me if i could erase the frames in 3d MAX,or i have to use some other software.When other software is required,please tell me which. Many thanks in advance. C u around! cullen Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 If you rendered to an avi then the frames are locked. You could take out what you don't want in Premiere or somethinglike that though. When making an avi, I find it best to render a sequence of jpgs then use the compress the jpgs together to get you avi. This is also nice incase something happens to your rendering. You only lose 1 frame instead of everything. I don't know how much time you have but to save hassle I would rerender as a sequence of .jpg's For help on the jpg compression there are some step by steps in the MAX help file. Devin Johnston Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 If your rendering out single frames for an AVI you should use a Tiff or Tga format, and if your using Premiere definitely use Tiff. The reason is Tiff's aren't compressed in any way, so that way when you bring them into Premiere to edit your video you won't loose any more quality than necessary when you compress them into an AVI.
