vray glass alpha/transparency against background

a simple question, which hopefully has a simple answer....

 

the glass on the facade is a vray material. it is transparent, but i can not get it to effect the alpha channel, and when it renders, it renders black. i could potentially drop a dome in the scene, and that would take care of the problem. right now, i would rather just have teh transparency effect the alpha channel.

 

any ideas?
