For Hatching ??

is't possible to make a custom Hatch Pattern or create a pattern & then use it as a hatching Pattern ???

i mean like that option in photo shop that makes me able to copy some part of a picture then use it as a pattern

You actually have to write the code for the hatch pattern. It's a really big pain! sometimes you can find hatchpatterns online. If you still want to create a specific one you should check out some AutoCAD Customizing books.

yeah Cullen ..... i wanted to do something like that so i viewed the help file & then i reached the " Acad.pat " but it was a big miss for me @ least coz i didn't understand any thing ..... but i kept on wondring ..... wat's the use of the "Custom tape " in the Hatch dialog box unless i can make a custom hatch or smthin :S

Under express tools >draw there is a feature "Super hatch"

draw your hatch just using lines, make a block...Superhatch can use block, images, xref,etc like a pattern.
