Jaques
Hi, Anyone know a good fast way to get "clean" meshes when modeling for Lightscape? I use 3ds max 5.0 with the export plugin for Lightscape. After exporting the model as a Ls preperation file and open it in Ls often the surfaces that look clean in 3ds max get those triangular meshes that I don´t want. I don´t know what I doing wrong here. How to solve? I have also modeled in Autocad but find that it is very timeconsuming to use 3d face. Jaques
Fernando Lino
I don't know if this can help to you If you use ADT you can convert 3dsolids in 3dfaces...You know when you explode a solid the faces become regions but if you explode masselement they become 3dfaces...use "masselement" command and pick "convert" it's also helpful if you use Sketchup. ecastillor
i usually make my walls, roofs and floors one single big'ol solid and explode it and then assign the resulting faces to their proper laye/material. that takes care of the joints in the faces. and just make sure that your objects (furniture etc) dont intersect with any planes because that will give those ugly artifact....maybe there is a better way but i dont know it.
