borki
Does anyone know something similar to Outline3d? I need exactely the functionality of it, but without all the web-enabled stuff. I've tried the offline version, but that won't let me create my own objects and textures, which is important for me. Matt

Richard McCarthy
Another thing I thought of is that you might just want the Realtime function "offline", if that's the case, you can't beat "Cosmo World". It's the best VRML editing program EVER. Pity you can't buy it anymore, since the company "cosmo" got bought by Computer Associate and they put it on perminent hold. You can still get the SGI version FREE (yes, absolutely FREE) from SGI website. http://www.sgi.com/products/software/cosmo/downloads.html Cosmo World let you create your own 3D world, with editing, poly creation capability, and also visual scripting ability too. borki
Tanks for the links, but it's not exactly what i'm looking for. The most important functionality that I need, is the drag and drop of textures and objects. The main idea is to use it as a tool for the visualisation of different interior designs (walls, ceiling, or floor materials), and some basic furniture. Our company is specialised in wintage wood interiors, so for example we would like to make a potos of our antique painted doors, and use them as a texture for the door in the 3d model, so we can interactively choose the doors with our customers. So basically there are two tasks for the application: 1. create custom 3d objects, textures and the basic layout of the room 2. interactively place premade objects and textures in the room, if possible on a touchscreen. Is there anything that supports such a scenario? Thanks, Matt PS I'm not looking for a hobbist or free solution!
