IC
Anybody know of a way to list the number of identical blocks in a drawing? Or a lisp routine that does this? Doing a big Site Layout and I keep getting different totals!
Eric
Try this. I've never used it, but a couple of the other CAD guys here have used it several times before.
Eric
Open up the lisp file in a text editor and it will tell you how to run it. Also, it you have stacked blocks on top of each other, it will count two (or how ever many are stacked) blocks, so you might run the overkill command if that's available to you. If you need more help with the lisp file, let me know. I'll type up a little help message.

STRAT
yup, there is a way in ADT, only AutoCAD being AutoCAD it's dull as bricks, so you must go around the houses. 1) bring up the PROPERTIES box. either under MODIFY > PROPERTIES or CTRL+1 2) click on QUICK SELECT (that little funnel/lightning icon) which brings up the quick select sub menu 3) under OBJECT TYPE select BLOCK REFERENCE, under PROPERTIES select NAME, then under VALUE type in the name of the block you want to list. then OK. IC
Strat, how did you ever find that out? They both work. Thanks a lot guys.
