Dan J
I just received my new 2x Xeon from the HP dumpster (refurb), it's soooo nice! I was wondering what everyone was refering to about the 4 buckets when rendering, I get it. Question is- I had HP tech support help me with an issue (minor) and I noticed that in the system spec's sent to the tech it stated that the 2.4 cpu has a max of 3.0. How can that be and how do I get it there? Thanks for the info. Dan
graphix
I would venture to say you were in the systems BIOS and the setting you saw was the max CPU the system would take. In order to get there you would need to buy a new pair of CPUs, or come up with some creative overclocking. graphix
Dan J
Oh. That makes more sense. I know some of the techniques for OC on AMD's, but I didn't think you could on Intel's.
Greg Hess
Dan, They are referring to the fact that your system's maximum CPU support is 3.0 gigahertz. Aka you could upgrade the system to faster processors if you wanted to.
