Animation advice

Hi

 

I have to do a descriptive medical animation of a procedure and need some advice on the best technique for it, the following is a brief summary;

 

1. A tube slides along a curved guide wire and stops at the end

2. The outer tube is pulled back along the wire leaving the inner tube

3. The inner tube is elasticated and expands to 3 times the size of the outer tube as it is detached

 

I would assume that IK would be involved to get the tubes to bend along the curved wire and Reactor for the inner elastic tube opening out to full size ?

 

Any comment would be appreciated.
