Jeff Mottle
Not that this should really be much of a surprise, but for those that want more proof, check out this review of the "fastest desktop in the world" getting trounced. I'm sure it does really well in PhotoShop benchmarks though. http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,112749,pg,7,00.asp
ingo
Well, the 2GHz G5 runs very well compared to a 2,2 GHz AMD, but the Pentium shows his age. Otherwise anotherone of this nice tweaked "mine-is-bigger-than-yours" benchies:sleep: And the Windows64-for-AMD and Windows64-for-Intel and Windows32-for-the-rest thing that starts now is a bit annoying, i guess another chance for Linux. Christopher Nichols
Hey Ingo, I think that the new Windows XP64 which is available in public beta, and should be releasing this month is to be compatible with "everything." meaning, that you can use it for both Itanium and AMD 64's, and can use it for 32 and 64 bit apps. The old Windows 64 was only for itanium and for 64 bit apps. That is what I remember hearing from the Microsoft guys at Siggraph. Am I wrong? ingo
I'm not sure, or seriously, i don't care. I've heard that Redhat Linux runs on both though. And take care if you talk to Microsoft guys, i've heard they all have a virus
