envdesign
Hello All: I am hoping someone on this forum can help me. I have 2 old .plt files created in AutoCAD 14. Since I no longer have the original AutoCAD data, I am trying to find a way to simply OPEN the plot files. My local plot bureau cannot open the files and could not offer any advice on how I may be able to at least OPEN or VIEW the file. I need to be able to plot the file. The file was created with the standard HP postscrip level 2 driver, I believe. Can anyone offer me some advice. Thanks! John
bigcahunak
There are many file viewing programs to view PLT files. Here is a good one I can remember. Also there is a vetot file plugin for the popular ACDsee program that supports PLT files, so here it is, but it will only work for you if you have the ACDsee program itself. Quality wise the first program I recomended is easier (you can even measure it), however the ACDsee one is easier to use (not that the first one is hard...) Hope it helps, Good luck. garethace
There is a downloadable utility from Epson called Epson plot too, but is really only useful with Epson printers and plot files i think.
