Vray free Installation problem

Hi and appologies the question.

I am new to max and have version 7.

I want to run the vray free plug in.

But how do I do it.

I can see it in the plug in manager and the path is set up, dose it load automatically because it is not at present do i need to reinstall.

 

Which version show one think of getting for architectural viz work the basic or advanced .

is the basic good enough.

not sure if this is the problem... under render option dialog select Vray as the render engine.

I reinstalled it and got it working .

Like a clown i tried to use photmetric ies exterior lighting and sat back and started getting old.

So i used a target directional light with vray shadows and it looks great.

 

 

What about the difference between the twobasic and advanced .

Whats your opinion on that.

not sure what you mean about two basic and advanced. try this thread for photometric exteriors.

sorry what I ment was what is the difference between vray basic and vray avanced.

as the prices are very different .

What do you use and why do you use it.
