Lighting Setup: Need Help to Improve

I'm using an IES sun with radiosity in Viz 4. I've posted my settings below.

1. Does anyone know why the two walls in the center of the image are darker than the walls on the sides of the image. You can see that the shadows are less intense on the two sides as well.

2. Does the shadow underneath the porch roof cornice look right? It seems too dark.

3. How do I get a good light around the window shutters? It seems like with all of the geometry you get these light patches.

Environment Settings

Global lighting: tint white .04

Ambient: Black

Logarithmic Exp. Contol: active

Brightness: 65

Contrast: 50

Mid Tones: 1

Physical Scale: 1500

Daylight and Exterior: Checked

Radiosity Settings

Initial Quality: 85

Refine iterations: 8

Filtering 4

mesh size: 12"

Render Direct Illumination

Regather: Checked

Rays per sample: 150

Filter radius: 10

Thanks for the help!

It might be because you do not have any ground plane that would reflect or bounce light back into that area. If you notice the porch and the roof above your porch has light bouncing back onto the front of the house. Also I would think you might want to change the tint settings to be the default setting which is 1. But maybe you know more about the tint setting than I do. I usually leave that alone.

When creating a sky dome

1. do you include the dome in the radiosity calculations?

2. do you exclude the dome from the camera and if so how do you exclude it from the camera but still include it in the radiosity calculation?

I've searched the forums, but I just didn't read anything addressing these specific questions.
