liloo
I'd like to say a big thanks to Jeff, too. You have done a great job so far making this challenge possible, the organization, the rules, the challenges and the prizes are amazing. I imagine it's a big amount of work to manage this competition, so Even if i'm not participating, i discovered the different works and it's very inspirating for me. I hope i will be in next year
Karen
I just have to add my own congratulations to the talented participants of the contest! Although I am not an architect, I appreciate and have studied historical and contemporary architecture. In my opinion, all of the contestants in the 2005 Architectural Visualization Competition are well on their way to great accomplishments! Good luck to everyone! Jeff Mottle
So Jeff when is the book coming out? These are quality images. Leo over at Ballistic Publishing (aka EXPOSE) has been threatening an Architectural Book for a while now and the thought has crosses my mind of having the imagery produced from this competition be made part of a book like that. I'm looking into it.
Lon
Man, I just caught wind of this whole thread, and I don't even know where to begin. I'm a little late into it, and I don't want to begin to stir the pot all over again, but I can't help myself. First and foremost -Jeff dedicates a tremendous amount of time and energy to his work AND cgarchitect.com, and we should thank him for what he's done for our industry. Case closed. Jeff, I owe you a beer - as always. Then, I read this from Ihab - "the only time Lon grohs comes up with an amazing rendering in two days is when the model was already done by someone else before that. most of their renderings or at least the good ones have three names signed under them." What? - Let's not make any uneducated blanket statements about these matters. Ihab, I've worked with you before. I've even hired you to model for me, and I respect the work you are capable of producing - but unless you've spent a day in my moccasins, please refrain from making comments like the one above.
