jtiscareno
Great work, great first attempt. Can you share with us some details, software, time, etc...
Jaydeetee
Oops! Almost forgot! I used 3dsmax 7 with Vray free. The volume light I added using Paint Shop Pro 8 (Can't seem to get the hang of photoshop ).
Jaydeetee
...and here's an update with some of the furniture I want to add. The bed still needs texures and my girlfriend sez the blankets look too perfect so I'll work on that!!! Once again, any comments would be AWESOME!!! jtiscareno
Looks great. Thanks for the info. Blanket looks kinda stiff but I think is fine, maybe add something in the right nightstand... And the shadow in between the wood rafters and ceiling is kinda funny, looks like rafters are just like 1/2 inch apart from ceiling. Volumn lighting is great, how did you do that in photoshop? vertexART
Very nice for the first attempt! Keep it up! Try using a cone with 'diffuse' and 'opacity' falloff to simulate volume light... very fast method and you get to see and tweak results instantly. though you'll have to position it correctly... Just a suggestion to avoid painting it in PS. Furniture is good and clean, but the windows seem too washed(glowed) out. Post more! Cheers
Jaydeetee
Thanks for the cone idea! I'll give it a try and see how it goes!
Jaydeetee
Here's an update! The bed is very basically textured and there's a couple of details added. Should I add anything else or leave it as is? Any comments would be !!!
only3d
Very good man! im startin 2 get jealous. yet a few tips- tyhe windows o look like theyre not really there. i dont really know wat 2 do about it but maybe a 2 wing window will have more presence. try it and see wat happens
Jaydeetee
I'll give it a go! Thanks!
Allen
Nice lighting effect. The bed cover bothers me - looks like rubber. Better draping at the corners would help tremendously. Perhaps add an indoor plant to bring something organic into the room. Some lamps on both end tables or attached to the wall would be very useful so the residents can read at night. Nice scene. Keep up the great work.
Jaydeetee
an update...
Jaydeetee
Alrighty...I've sorta fixed the blanket by using reactor in max! I think it gives a much better result! Also, the cushions have a couple more creases in them...That's it for now! I'm almost finished with the image, but any comments would...er...still...be great! Oh...and I added the bed's original lights...

Hozz
mm .. well i dont like this window its just too much light i cant sleep with all this light comin .. maybe a curtain will help !? oh .. and the comodes beside the bed .. i think it should open the other way .. so if u want to open while u r lying on the bed u wont find it hard ..the handle must be near u ! thats it for me
Jaydeetee
Hey! Good point with the handles! I'll see what curtains look like...
DennisHolland
Hi, nice job, it's clean... I like the little things that makes it all very good lookin' (like the lamp, a bit offset). I agree with Hozz, a see-through curtain is very handy here. Enjoy, Dennis
