treddi
First of all I would thank you for your help. I am a 3dsmax beginner so pardon me if I ask something that is obvious for you. What I want to obtain is showed in the image attached: a reflection on the ground that smoothly disappears in a white ambient (I made the attached example with photoshop). Can you kindly explain to me how to do that with 3dsmax with a plane and a box? Thank you again for your patience. Treddi
DennisHolland
Hi there, Don't bother asking around, it's saves you a lot of aggrevation, especially when your just turned to MAX.... the easiest way is to (hit m) and pick a raytrace-material in materialbrowser, turn on 'reflections' and adjust the settings in your maps rollout (0 = no refl. 100 = ultra refl.). You should surf the tuts at http://www.3dcafe.com for learning the basics. Good luck, Dennis
