Devin Johnston
This is just a test that I'm working on for an animation; the materials and furniture are still changing but would like to get some feedback from everyone.
IC
I'll make the obvious statement: too dark. Looks great otherwise though. I'm currently rendering a similar project. Don't you just hate waiting for animations to render? The fun stuff ended long ago but still it plods on......
DelfoZ
for animation the quility seems very good, a little dark, but ok are you using Final render?
vertexART
Since the scene is totally lit with indirect light, you should really brighten it up, I agree with others! Also, level the view, you won't lose any details. I like the blueish highlights on the furniture.. Cheers
CHE
Maxer, Looking good. How long was the render time? I'm looking forward to see the animation.
Devin Johnston
Yea I agree it's to dark, I'm moving the sun so that it shines in through the windows so there will be much more ambient light. No I'm not using Final Render on this one it's Maxwell, and my render time is at 15 hours so the Animation is going to take a while to render out. Gus_Rayvus
Some frame work in the windows might be nice and there also seems to be a lack of shadow not only from the exterior light but also under the tables. After you change the position of the sun it will probably help. I agree that you should raise the target of your camera. You should patch up those two holes in the back wall. Are you seriously animating at 15 hours per frame? 15 minutes is bad enough!
Tommy L
Totally, 15 hours? Is this a pro job or a fun one? Youre either way ahead of shedule, mates with the farm manager at pixar, or have the most patient client on the planet. Looks damn nice though, good luck with the r/times. Devin Johnston
Yea, 15 hrs is a long time and right now it's just for fun so I don't have to worry about deadlines. I'm still adding things to the room and tweaking materials but I will mess with the camera and fix those light leaks. Here's another one:
DelfoZ
just quit the Torus knot of there. i know u can find a better objet to put there and im not talking about the teapot.
SEIF
second one looks better renderwise...but i see the side table a bit odd....but how can people sit in that place??...shall they jump on the chairs to get in ?...... i guess u ned to re-arrange the furniture layout.. maybe if u gave the window slots some details u'll get an enhanced image...not just white slots...
