Adding 3D House/Landscaping to 2d Pictures

Alright,

My family and I are in the process of building a new house out in the wine country in southern california. I have taken many different pictures, some 360 degree shots, in order that I can take the shots and add in the 3d elements.

For example, I took a picture of where the gate/entrance and driveway are going to be. I want to then model and render the gate and driveway in Cinema 4D. I then want to add in the model to the picture, to create what the finished product will eventually look like. Basically, I want to take the bare dirt pictures and turn them into the finished product using 3D.

The problem is that I have no idea what the best approach to this is going to be. Any tutorials, sites, info, books, or opinions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

you have 2 options

one, wolud be doing a photorealistic render with a real background, doing this requires some time, specially for camera matching, you can do this on cinema or even in photoshop.

yau can also model the background, match the plants on 3d using 2d tree libraries, this requires of a HUGE amount of time, cosidering that you will need models of almost everything that is in your site photo... and it would be way too complicated...

some C4d tutorials

Well I tried doing a 3d photorealistic render with a real background and it turned out pretty well. It takes a little work getting the lighting right, but it is not very complicated.

However, eventually, I am going to be making the entire lot with 2 houses and landscaping. So I am wondering if I should just recreate the photos in C4D and do an entirely 3d landscape. Maybe with the photos in the background for the views.......

What do you guys think of that approach? If I do that, what is a good way to create an accurate representation of a lot with elevation, and scale???

Thanks guys!
