cdos00
Has anyone beta tested or seen any in depth reviews of this new software? I just got the subscription update on the rest of my Autodesk Products and noticed as I browsed the Autodesk website that Viz will be supporting 'DWG Link' I was wondering what this entailed. Our office, (as does every office) deals with the quandry of updating the 3d model when changes are made to the design. We have to weight out whether we need to update the 3d model or if we should just "Fake it" and update the 2d drawings instead. If the DWG link would allow you to update the 2d drawings and see the changes in the 3d model with some minor tweaks to the geometry that would just be AWESOME. Please let me know if this software is capable of something like that or, if anyone has developed a system to better deal with this. Thanks. Chris. abicalho
The list of features in VIZ 2006 is huge - much more than what's listed in the Autodesk website. VIZDepot had a nice list of features there - check it out: http://www.vizdepot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1908

cdos00
Wow. The program looks awesome. My office currently uses Form-z however we use AutoCAD for our 2d drawings. I will probably purchase a copy of VIZ for my visualizations to help convince my office to move over to the Discreet products because I like the quality of renderings I have seen/produced with discreet products. (I have been using a copy of 3d studio a student and I are sharing) Does anyone know the US pricing of the product? Last time I looked at VIZ 05 it was priced somewhere around $1800, (Which is about $1000 less than Form-z)
