LukaDM
Is there a cheaper alternative software package to AutoCAD which you can use to strip out unnecessary info from a dwg file before bringing it into Max? I really don't want to waste all my money on a package I only use briefly. Luka
Bhanu
Undoubtedly IntelliCAD is the best option... You can comfortably do editing also. You will find little slow in viewing commands like Zoom, pan etc. New version can open AutoCAD dwg version 2.5 to 2005. There are many IntelliCAD versions from different companies, we work with 4M-IntelliCAD and pretty ok with that. This is from Greece based company and check out www.4msa.com. lambros
I have Intellicad from Auto-des-sys and runs fine. About 100€ and the only thing that worries me is the slow viewport navigation speed. Everything else works fine.

LukaDM
Thanks for your responses guys. I'm going to try IntelliCAD first on an evaluation license & buy it if it meets my needs. Luka
