Tuninho Prieto
I work on a 21" G520 SONY monitor and the images are bright and crisp. :angerazz: I heard the 19" G420 share the same image quality. I decided to invest in a 21" cause I think monitors last longer than computers and a good image quality is important for the work we do and good for our eyes. :gebigeek: :gebigeek: :gebigeek: This investment is for many many years!!! I think a 21" is forever (almost)
Brian Cassil
As far as your eyes are concerned, anything that runs at the resolution you desire (I like 1280 x 1024) at a refresh rate of no less than 85 is going to be fine. Then I would stick with name brands like Sony, Viewsonic, Hitachi. I would stay away from no names or stuff you've never heard of. Also, I haven't been impressed with NEC for a long time. They used to be top of the line but the company has focused almost all of their attention to mobile communication for a few years now.
Brian Cassil
I would also agree with Tuninho about the investment in monitors. It's going to last you 3 computers or so. Bem vindo Tuninho! (Welcome Tuninho!)
Victor Erthal
I agree with tuninho, mainly because he bought me a 21"sony :ngelaugh: :ngelaugh: (just like his) and works at the other side of the corridor.
xgarcia
Just a fact to keep in mind guys: CRT's ability to color calibrate diminishes greatly after 3 years or so. Only important if you're color calibrating.

Tuninho Prieto
I have been using Samsung monitors for 10 years and I think it has a good price/benefits. Mainly cause here in Brazil Samsung rules. But from what I heard & read Viewsonic is better. If you buy a top line monitor, I think most well known brand will give you a good quality device, like Brian said before. But a 19"Sony (Multiscan G420) is better than a 19" Samsung(SyncMaster DF 955) Xavier, please don´t tell I will have to throw away my 21"! I thought it was forever! :ngesighw: New avatar hein! By the way... (like RedHot) I never calibrated my monitors That´s why my brand new 21" looks fantastic!) Colors look fine in my Epson 1520 Brian thanks for the reception!!! I´ll put you in the heart of my avatar [ November 17, 2003, 02:21 PM: Message edited by: Tuninho ]
