STRAT
dunno if it's the best, but it's free, simple and easy and does the job. cant see how better it can get.
DennisHolland
Hi, Max 6.0 started with the 'panoramic exporter' feature. Very easy to use and integrated within' Max, no extrta costs at all. Export to mov and you'll have yourself a great pano-view... Good luck, Dennis
Devin Johnston
aren't you limited to only being able to pan with a camera view and not pan around an object?
DennisHolland
Pan around an object would be nice, integrated in Max. It's the same only different;) Thank god there is an external tool called Wirefusion to solve that...but it would be a good thought for Discreet to consider having it fixed in the next version. Guest ikon
you can pan around an object, using the plugin Cebas maxVR.qt 2.0 i didn't tried it yet. dunno if it's good
Dan J
Quick Time seems to be the most versitle and easy delivery for most users. I think the QT pro version has a orbit around the object portion? The old SmoothMove plugin that came with Viz4 had this and it worked fairly well, but the file sizes were huge. You can fake the object orbit with Quicktime, Flash or Java. easypano, panavue, ulead, pixtra, realviz, cult3D are some others you might check out. mak_designs
hi all, forgive me if this is a stupid question for asking, but, is there a tutorial for creatin' the 360 view with quicktime vr? or 3ds max?
seismograph
i use my own maxscript "panotour" to produce 360° panoramas: http://www.cgtechniques.com/goodies/panotour/ it outputs a java applet based panotour with linked panos ,but when the client want a QTVR i take these sphericals and convert it to qtvr and connct them in pearPC and makecubic ...it's really easy!
