Kathryn Tattersall
Hi, I'm seeking a tutor to get me up and running with 3D AutoCAD and/or 3D Studio Max. I'm in the London area and if you can help I'd love to hear from you.
mak_designs
What are your weak points in 3ds Max? like modeling, lighting etc? What are you looking for in a tutor?
vertexART
Hi Kathryn, you should try tutor-ial first, you don't need a tutor actually. Start with built-in tutorials in Max, then after approx 3 months when you are done, start with online tutorials, maybe trainings also. And make sure U post your WIP's and progress here:) Good luck! joseph alexander
A tutor will offer you a much faster learning curve. If you decide to pursue having one make your tutor write down comand by comand instructions as you go along, maybe even with screenshots. I've taught max and autocad classes and the main problem people have is forgetting one step in a series of 50 because it didn't get written down... also repetition is key too... goodluck. -Joe

reluma
Hello Kathryn, I advise you to buy a tutorial books and find your time to focus on it, there are many good tutorial books out there, if you cannot find in your local bookstore, try finding it online...one good book to buy is one that is of visual approach, a step by step guide for you to follow...it applies to autocad, max and others....there are lots of online tutorials too! and even if you didnt finish the whole tutorial books..atleast if your done with the basics...you can have a grasp that will keep you up and running! Goodluck and happy learning :-) rey
