danteprojetos
Hi , Whenever i merge a model that is already mapped in one of my projects, i use the following procedure: Merge the model, Import all the maps, Apply every map (wich was already done in the source model). Is there a way to merge the model in my project as it was originally? with everything already mapped? Thanks in advance !!!
mbr
Not sure what you are doing, maybe some presets screwed up or changed? I just select MERGE > file name > viola! It comes in mapped just as it was in the other file. Check the options or presets, it should be exactly as it was in the other file.
Ricardo Eloy
Hi, Dante! You probably just can't see the maps already applied when you merge it. It's a fairly common problem. All you have to do is open the Material Editor, select an empty slot, activat the Pick Material From Object tool and click on the object you just merged. Its material will appear in the Editor, now all you need to do is show 3ds max where the bitmap (the one you can't see) is in your computer.
