Lightning
I guess this is an odd question for this forum, but I'm going to get a new PC for my home where I do some work, mainly with 3DS Max, AutoCAD, CATIA, Photoshop, and some video editing. Apart from that this PC is to be used for some regular "home" stuff like a little bit of gaming and entertainment. I'm familiar with the advantages (and disadvantages) of working with a "proper" 3D video card since I'm using Quadro 980 at work, but apart from the price issue of those cards I'm interested in knowing what is the preferable gaming card that would be sufficient for doing all of the above: is it the latest Nvidia chip (GeForce FX5900) or ATI (Radeon 9800)?
